Uniform Guidelines:

Students are required to arrive in uniform every day

Shirts:

All shirts are to be solid white, collared, polo-style.  Shirts can also be purchased through Hazel Park.  Short or long sleeves are acceptable. Shirts must be long enough to be tucked in at all times.

Sweatshirts / Sweaters:

Solid-colored white, navy, or black sweaters or sweatshirts may be worn over the white collared shirt.  Sweaters and sweatshirts with hoods are NOT acceptable.

Sweaters and sweatshirts that are not being worn must be stored in a locker.

Bottoms:

Navy or black pants or shorts.  Acceptable materials are cotton-polyester blends, corduroys, dockers, cargo pants, chinos or dickies. Navy or black skirts, skorts, or jumpers no shorter than mid-thigh high.

Denim, stretch denim, sweat/stretch pants, drawstring pants and nylon/wind pants are NOT acceptable.

Accessories:

Accessories will be school appropriate, i.e. discrete and non-disruptive to the classroom environment.  This means no headwear (ex. Hats or bandanas), medallion necklaces, rosaries, or key lanyards.

ALL CLOTHING WILL BE WORN APPROPRIATELY FOR SCHOOL

Appropriately sized for student, shirts tucked in, collars showing, and pants worn at waist

Students out of uniform will be dismissed from school for that day. Students will be given a “reminder slip” each time a teacher asks him or her to wear their uniform appropriately (i.e. tuck in shirt, pull up pants, etc.)  A copy of that slip will be forwarded to the office. When a student has received 5 reminder slips, a parent will be contacted.  For any additional slips the student will be referred to their administrator.

Uniform shirts can be purchased in the school office for $10.00 each

Student Planners

Students are required to purchase a Student Planner at the beginning of the school year.  The planner is an organizational tool for students, and includes a variety of information, student learning strategies, student handbook and hall pass log. Students are encouraged to use their planner in class, at home, and to facilitate parent involvement.

The cost of a new or replacement student planner is $5.00.  Contact your student's counselor in cases of serious hardship.
