| Hazel Park Middle School Academy maintains 2 computing labs for the education of its students. The labs are equipped with recent models of the Dell Optiplex computer. Both labs have projection screen capability and the computers are equipped with typing tutor software and office productivity suites. Access to the World Wide Web for the building is provided through a pair of T1 connections maintained by the Saint Paul Public Schools and its provider. Hazel Park has over 150 computers, multiple servers, and networked laser printers. Older equipment is being utilized in classrooms as off-network workstations for typing practice and word processing.
Recent work by the School District IT Staff has assured that students at Hazel Park will be able to maintain their own district network and email accounts. This addition to the computing capability at Hazel Park is being phased in during the 2002-03 school year.
