What is AVID?
AVID is a class designed to help students
with their academic and social skills and start to prepare them for
college and the college application process.
How do I get into AVID?
In
order to take the AVID class, you need to apply, have an interview, and
sign a contract which says you are committed to AVID and to your
education.
What does a week in AVID look like?
Monday-AVID Curriculum (Reading, writing, Cornell Notes, binders, organization, test prep)
Tuesday-Tutorial (student led study groups)
Wednesday-AVID Curriculum
Thursday-Tutorial
Friday-Team Building (binder checks, team activities, field trips, speaker
